2009 was the 24th running of our annual District Derby. This year’s event was a time of excitement as we had 79 cars racing in 7 categories. The winners are to be congratulated and the rest of us can always look forward to next year. The winners, Best of Show (BoS) and Good Sport (GS) awards went to:

At the close of this derby an era has come to an end. Our Derby Coordinators, Lindsay Dickson and Ron Ludington have stepped down after 24 years. These two built the derby from scratch in 1986 and have created an outstanding event today. We plan to honor them properly at the banquet in February. Please show Lindsay and Ron your appreciation as you get the opportunity. Our new derby coordinator is Herb Gray, OP 130, New Life Community Church in Irmo. Herb has run the Central Division derby for the past few years. He is looking for a staff. If you are interested, email derby@scdrr.org.
