SCDRRRA Unlimited Class (Outlaw) Rules - Version 2.0
  1. Who is this for?
      In this class, you can use your ingenuity & imagination. This class will also benefit anyone who has been disqualified trying to compete in other classes (overweight, wrong kit, oversize, etc.)
       
  2. Is there a specific Kit I must use?
      The use of any Pinewood Derby kit is allowed. (RR kit, Hobby Shop, Scout, etc.) or the fabrication of these parts
       
  3. Race car specifications.
    1. Car must fit on the track, run without interfering with other cars and clear the time tower located at the finish line.
    2. Overall width not to exceed 3 3/4"
    3. Overall length not to exceed 12"
    4. Overall height not to exceed 4 1/2"
    5. Minimum ground clearance 3/8"
    6. Total weight not to exceed 32 oz. (908 gm)

     
  4. Lubrication:
      Any type allowed (remember some oils & silicones dissolves plastic)

     
  5. May the unlimited class car be entered?
      No. The unlimited class car may not be entered in another class.

     
  6. What about power?
      Cars must be freewheeling, no starter attachments or fuel burning allowed.

     
  7. Inspection:
      Race officials will inspect cars at registration and will disqualify those cars which do not adhere to these rules. Those cars which pass inspection will be impounded. Once a car is impounded no modifications, lubrication or adjustments will be allowed until the end of racing.

     
  8. Food:
      No food or drink is allowed near the track, inspection area or car impound area.

     
  9. Track:
      No one is allowed to cross the track at any time, except race officials.

     
  10. Lost Parts:
      Cars which lose parts during a race, except a wheel, will not be allowed re-attach the part or parts.

     
  11. Attendance:
      Attendance is mandatory in order to participate in racing. Race officials will determine whether a car will be allowed to race without the registrant in attendance.
